Next stop on the road to Beijing: Estonia

This weekend, as part of the Irish teams participation in the European cup in Estonia, the project400 team members will attempt to gain qualification for the Beijing Olympic Games. In order to qualify, as it stands right now, the guys will need to run a time of 3:04.30 or better. This time combined with their 3:04.71 time from last week will be aggregated and will hopefully qualify the team for Beijing.

If they achieve this time then they would rank in the Top 16 countries in the world, as it currently stands. This would be a huge accomplishment and provided no other team outside of the top 16 posts a better time, this would qualify them for Beijing.

To keep an eye on the boys as they run this weekend keep an eye on the meet website, http://www.ec2008tallinn.org/ . The relay is scheduled for Sunday at 4:05 PM GMT.

All the guys thank you for your continued good wishes and will report on the competition results as soon as possible.

1/10th of a second???! Are you kidding me, if you guys had ANY competition in that race you’d have done it. I’ll be gutted if you don’t find another race to get into! The Scottish Cup Tuesday week perhaps. Surely with Gregan or Hession you’ll break 3.04- Either way, very Valiant efforts. Well done!
