How did you get into running: Like most of us, I started out in cross country when my parents threw me out from under their feet to the wet and mucky fields. I dabbled away in hurling, soccer, rugby, tiddlywinks etc before focusing on track. At junior level, I mixed 200s and 400s but concentrated on 400s as I got older.

Interests: Outside athletics, I still mess around with hurling a bit along with wake boarding and other water sports during our fine summers. I work with computers and have an interest in photography, music and technology. I also enjoy good food and with my friends…..on the weekends of course!
